My Plan
For this final project, I wanted to do something more simplistic because all of my other photos have been more big and powerful. I want to end with showing the simplicity of dancers, that its not all just struggle and chaos.
Photo Shoot
There is a white wall in my dance studio and I decided to take the photos in front of the wall to show drama and simplicity. I really like these photos because they are really pretty and elegant, and I can't wait to edit them.
Edited Photos
For the first photo I made it black and white because I thought it brought out more elegance. For two others I increased the exposure to bring out every detail in the photo and to make the photo look very simple. For the last one I darkened the photo a lot because I thought it made it look mysterious and very dramatic, two qualities that I like in my photography.
Final Photo
I chose this picture because it was exactly what I imagined this final photo would look like. I really love the simplicity of the photo and how there is only the girl and the wall. I increased the exposure greatly while editing the photo, and that was all I did. I edited it simply because I wanted the simple look. In the photo, there is a girl who is in a position that's more elegant and dramatic. She is facing away from the camera, and she is wearing dance clothing. Her lines in the photo help show emphasis that she is the main object in the photo. Her lines also show movement and how her arms are moving. Her shape shows balance because her arms which are away from her are balancing out her body. When I look at these photos, I think of the simplicity of life and how things can be peaceful. This picture is very sophisticated and professional, and it reminds me of what my future holds for me in the professional world.
